Responsible gambling
Gambling should be entertainment, not a way to make money. BookmakerStats provides information only — we do not encourage you to bet. If gambling is affecting your life, help is available.
Our position
BookmakerStats is a statistics and directory website. We do not take bets, promote specific offers, or target vulnerable people. Every page on the site is intended for adults who want factual information about operators.
If you choose to gamble, do so only with money you can afford to lose, set limits before you start, and never chase losses. Stop if it stops being fun.
Warning signs
You may be developing a gambling problem if you:
- Spend more money or time than you planned
- Borrow money or hide gambling from family or friends
- Feel anxious, irritable, or guilty about gambling
- Neglect work, study, or relationships because of betting
- Try to win back losses with bigger or riskier bets
If any of these apply to you, consider speaking to a support service below.
Practical steps
- Set deposit and time limits in your operator account where tools exist.
- Use reality checks and session reminders offered by many licensed sites.
- Never gamble when upset, drunk, or in debt.
- Treat wins as luck, not income — the operator has a long-term edge.
- Keep gambling separate from essential bills and savings.
Licensed operators in regulated markets are required to offer safer gambling tools. Use them, or step away entirely.
UK support and self-exclusion
If you are in Great Britain, these services are free and confidential:
- GAMSTOP — free self-exclusion scheme across participating online operators. Once registered, you will be excluded for the period you choose (minimum six months).
- GambleAware — information, advice, and signposting to treatment. National Gambling Helpline: 0808 8020 133 (free, 24/7).
- Take Time To Think — safer gambling campaign with tools and messaging.
- Gambling Therapy — online support in multiple languages.
You can also contact your GP or NHS mental health services if gambling is affecting your wellbeing.

Check your local regulator’s website for licensed-operator registers, self-exclusion schemes, and national helplines. Laws and tools vary by country and sometimes by state or province.
Under-18s
Gambling is for adults only. It is illegal for under-18s to gamble in the UK and many other jurisdictions. BookmakerStats is not directed at children. If you are under the legal age, do not use gambling sites or our directory to find them.
Operators and complaints
If you have a dispute with a bookmaker — for example a void bet or withdrawal delay — contact the operator’s support first, then the licensing authority or ADR scheme listed in their terms. BookmakerStats cannot intervene in account disputes.
How we present bookmakers
We list operators using public stats. Inclusion in the directory is not an endorsement. A high traffic rank does not mean an operator is safe or suitable for you. Always check licence status for your location on the regulator’s register before you play.
